We are aware that every person and, even more so, every company has an impact on the environment and that our planet is precious and we should protect it. . We have therefore decided to make a commitment to lessen our impact on the Earth by reducing the CO2 emissions produced in our factory.
With the support of the European Union throughthe Regione Siciliana, Action 3.1.1 – 3 “Aiuti alle imprese esistenti e accompagnamento dei processi di riorganizzazione e ristrutturazione aziendale.” In POC 2014-202, with Ciprogest 2.1 project, we implemented a new 300 kW photovoltaic system. The estimated annual output of thisphotovoltaic system is approximately 447,000 kW, equal to 13% of the company’s needs.
In practical terms, using the emission factors for estimatedelectricity consumption, replacing one kWh produced from fossil sources with one produced from renewable sources avoids the emission of 554.6 g CO2.. The production of 447,000 kwh of energy per year from the 300 kW photovoltaic system will avoid the emission of around 248 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere..
Therefore, thanks to the contribution of the European Union and the RegioneSiciliana, we can do our part for the planet and, at the same time, lower our energy costs and increase our competitiveness through higher energy efficiency and a higher operational level of production processes.
